We stock mid-fire cone 5 (^5) clay from Laguna Clay Company for our members. Pricing includes a 25lb bag of moist clay and also covers the firing (Kiln) fees. This makes it much easier on you, the member. No need to measure pieces, calculate square inches, pay minimums or deal with an extra bill every month. We visit Laguna Clay Co monthly to restock, see David if you are interested in a Laguna Clay body we don't stock. To ensure the safety of our equipment and compatibility of our processes, all clay must be purchased at Mud & Wick Ceramics, no outside clay may be brought into the studio. B-Mix - a soft, light color clay, easy to throw and best suited for beginners & smaller projects. ^5
Speckled Buff - is a smooth clay that is easy to throw with. The color is a great desert shade of brown/tan once fired. ^5

B-Mix with Grog - similar to regular B-Mix but the addition of grog gives the clay more structure for throwing larger/taller pieces. ^5

WC395 Cone 5 Porcelain - an extremely smooth, relatively easy to throw with clay that fires to offwhite/light gray. Perfect clay for thin walls and super light pieces. Also great for illustration.
Firing & Special Charges
For members who would like to control the firing parameters, a private firing is available for both Bisque as well as glaze firing. If you have special needs, talk to the club host to see if they can be accommodated. Availability of private firings are limited based on kiln utilization. Interior dimensions of our Kiln are approximately 22.5" wide and 27" deep. Check dimensions before you create oversized pieces allowing at least 1" space between lid and walls and account for using cookies.

Oversize Pieces - large or oddly shaped pieces that take up more than 1/2 the kiln (horizontal or vertical) may require a supplemental firing fee. See club host for more information if you create large pieces.
