About Kiki Clay Club at Mud & Wick Ceramics

Our Story
Kiki Clay Club started with a simple belief: adults need a place to truly belong. In a world of digital distractions, we’ve built a welcoming "third space" where creativity thrives and friendships grow naturally. For us, pottery is the perfect way to bring people together.

Nestled in the Perez Art District at Mud & Wick Ceramics, we are a boutique studio dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community and allies. Imagine a country club centered around clay rather than tennis—a vibrant hub built around pottery where curiosity is celebrated and everyone who shares our values is included.

Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned potter, our space is designed for you to slow down, get your hands dirty, and connect with a creative community.

Founded by David Abramowski, known locally as "David the Potter," Kiki Clay Club was born from a passion for hands-on creativity and human connection.

After years in tech and marketing, David traded screens for clay, discovering that the pottery wheel is more than a tool—it’s a powerful conversation starter and community builder.

David designed this club to be the inclusive, vibrant space he always wanted to join: a welcoming haven for creators to gather and belong. When he isn’t helping members perfect their glazes or firing the kiln, he’s throwing pieces for Mud & Wick Ceramics or brainstorming new ways to bring our community together. Join David in creating something meaningful and welcoming for the Palm Springs area.
